Here's another one: will my chocolate chip starfish go after an anemone? I'd like to get a host anemone and a clownfish. After having my chip devour a zoa I'm a bit hesitant.

I would doubt it seeing as how stars are sensitive. He'll probably get stung and "run" away ...hopefully somebody has some input.

That is a tough one as anemones are pretty delicate whereas Chocolate Chip Sea Stars are very aggressive and opportunistic feeders! IMO, I wouldn't do it especially if you plan on adding an expensive bubble tip or other expensive anemone! Maybe try a Haitian Condylactis to start as the potential loss both monetarilly and loss of the one or both of the animals won't be as pronounced.

I have Red-Leg Hermit Crabs, so I don't think I can get that species (Haitian Condylactis.)

Chocolate chip starfish will absolutely, positively eat any and all kinds of anemones.

 Not sure why that would prevent you from being able to keep a Condylactis?

When I looked up what a Condylactis was, several sites say that the red tip would eat them.

On a side note, if I do get a clown now and down the road add an anemone, would the clown still take to it or do they need to be introduced simultaneously?

OK, I thought by red leg, you meant scarlett hermit crabs. As for the clown/anemone, the fish can and will take to it regardless of when they're introduced but there's no guaranty that the fish will take to it at all.
