Hi everyone, so I couldn't help but risking introducing a decaying anemone back home from the fish store today. I took it as a discount so you can say it came free. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to keep this in my system or not. If it's going to ruin my whole healthy system which has been running for atleast 7 months now. I only have snails and hermits in there along with two tiny red long tentacle anemones. Should I return it to the store or should I keep it and wait until it would heal back? By the way, what is the name of this anemone? I'm assuming no clownfish would reside in this type of anemone.:confused::confused::confused:

LMAO!!!! 3 people in there told me that is an anemone. So I shouldn't worry for water poisoning as it decays huh?

well, ya because something is still rotting creating all the built up crap, but he looks like he could recover, do you know/test your parameters?

I will wait around 24 more hrs and then test to get to see if parameters change over days or not..should I feed extra or would i be just introducing more nitrate to the system and it wont do any good?

feeding him could do more harm right now, i would just wait a little while and see what he does, I'm actually not too knowledgeable about them, might be worth it to do some research and see if there are any forums out there with better care or tips for him.

Oh yeah!!!! I see the skeleton now. Good call Matty. What kind of lighting do you have? If you have good lighting, it may just bounce back. It does not look to bad to me.....

I want to move my two clownfish to this tank, would there be any type of water poisoning as this coral is decaying? I have a huge hermit in there too, and I want to put in a feather duster.....is there going to be a problem? =((
