That's really not enough light for any symbiotic coral to live in. I would say that a minimum of a 70W halide is needed for a small tank like your's. I have a 70W on my 20G and that is borderline for my BTA.
Keep an eye on it and if it looks like it is melting, get it out of the tank.

I don't think these plates release anything particularly bad into the tank...

My long tentacle plate ended up dieing - as it got worse, it quit putting its tentacles out - so I'd say it's a good sign yours still is.

As it died and withered to nothing leaving the skeleton behind I had no spikes in my params. I have good filtration and a good sized CuC though... couldn't hurt to remove it, but probably won't hurt to leave it either.

Try feeding it meaty food. Like a small piece of shrimp or fish (raw). Mine would accept this up until it started to wither away.

The way you can see the skeleton makes me think the flesh was disturbed on that side. The best thing you can do is leave it alone. The more you mess with these the worse they'll do is what I'm learning.

    They need good lights too.

I hope he makes it...they are really cool corals...I have 2 65 watt actinic and 2 65 watt flourecent hopefully when I get set up I will have enough light to house one...
