Anemone dying?

    That may depend on how much of the damsel it actually digested before regurgitating what was left.

    it ate the whole thing, its still expelling and its already a huge ball on nasty stuff

    It could take a while, that's an awful lot to feed that guy. A piece the size of your thumbnail or slightly larger should be lots for next time. Maybe twice a week. Eventually you'll be able to tell when its hungry, you'll see the signs.

    what would the signs be for a hungry anemone?

    Looks like it is expelling waste, when mine does that the clownfish tries to put the waste back in the anemone! It's the funniest thing ever!

    I feed mine 2-3 small krill or pieces of krill 2-3 times a week, it loves them! A whole fish may be too much.

    what should i do with the waste? will it detach from the anemone? will my filter get it? will my cleaner shrimp get it? will it do any harm to the tank?

    You'll just get to tell by looking at him. His mouth will usually be slightly open etc. It's kinda like having a dog, you can tell when they want to go out, and you can def tell when they've done something wrong.
