Did you test iodine levels before and after dosing?
How old is the tank? What kind of lighting? Params? What kind of anemone?

The tank has only been up and running for 4 months?
Hardly enough time to stabilize a system, and ensure that the chemistry is not changing from day to day, or week to week.
Adding things like iodine should only be done when you are testing the iodine levels in your aquarium, and that goes the same for any other type of additive. This goes to say, that your water has to be bang on in terms of perfection.
Anemones also require great deals of light, even for the easiest of them- the bubble tip.

    Definitely not a beginner's specimen.

Hey yellow tang - you might have OK equipement wise, (what is the huge light is it metal halide? )

but the things the guys are saying above is that nems like very mature water which a 4 month old set up does not have - some say Min 6 month old and others say have the tank set up 12 months before adding nems

if its not looking right, may be in your best interest to get it out , it it dies the toxins released could cause you major issues,
post an image and get other opinions would be a good idea

but with Nems - if in doubt, get it out is probably the smart option

also I note from your tank threads you are using external cannister filters - so if your not running carbon now, it would be a good time to add it, whilst considering the Nems condition and your options

    Hope it works out well

    Steve

Yup....we need more information dude. So ASAP, we need the type of lighting you have (CF/PC, T5 or MH) and all params you can give us. DON'T dose any more iodine if you do not have any test kits for it. Iodine is something you can mess up with bigtime. People have killed their tanks misdosing iodine.

Also, just be aware that if the anemone goes, it will try to take the tank with it. And it will try hard. I am one of those one-year guys for anemone additions. They need an exceedingly mature tank to survive well. Stable with pristine water conditions.

I read the tank description. Do you have a cuc? Alot of fish for a 55. You might want to invest in one. If you havent already.
