And if you have a good LFS, then they should be able to take frags off your hands and give you store credit. Also, torches have a pretty long stinging tentacle that comes out at night. So its good to keep it atleast 6 inches away from other corals. It's still not as catastrophic as an anemone, and when it dies, it shouldn't nuke your tank. It's about 50/50 whether a clown will take a liking to it. Even if it doesn't, it'll be a beautiful addition to the tank. And remember to research before you buy.

If someone is to get an anemone in a 30g or smaller, i would recommend you move stuff off the rocks if possible. That way the anemone has room to move around the tank for a few days and find where its comfortable and not stinging your corals and damaging them badly. I have had 2 anemones and both of them moved alot and killed a few zoa frags while it was at it.

Wouldnt recommend a carpet for him..If you think about it, those things will get huge and take up ALOT of space..And on top of that, they are extremely hard to care for.

If you are to get an anemone, i would recommend a GBTA. They are a more hardy anemone, but they are still not easy to care for.

miniature carpet anemones are quite common and are easier to care for than the larger kind, also they stay on the sand. i would not reccomend a bta of any type as they move around alot.

The maxi nems? i think thats the right name..

Those are pretty cool, and can be colorful.

GBTA's move around as any other anemone would IME.

carpets do move, you just dont see it, mine moves at night by swelling up their base and looking for food not far but when considering my carpet is 16 inches in diameter, it is big, as for mini carpets i have seen them all over fish stores in tanks with clowns but have not seen clowns host them when i asked the guy about them he said it was rare for them to host a mini carpet like that.
