I dont know what kind of kit you would call the one i have but its a powder that i pour in with the water test chamber i have and shake it!

Whats in my tank? well ill tell you.

5 Damsel fish , Bi-colored Blenny, Pencil Sea Urchin, Candy Cane shrimp, Clarkii Clown fish and Sebae Anemone.

I have had my tank for about 5 months. the news additions to my tank with in a month are my Clarkii and my Sebae Anemone which i have had for about a month. for the First 3 1/2 weeks of having my Anemone he did Great!! Recently i noticed we all of a sudden got small and wasnt doing good i watched it for about 2 days and realized he was trapped under a rock. i moved the rock and the anemone and he spent yesterday and part of today practically on his face. i flipped him over when i got home from work and he looks a little better he grabbed on to a rock for abit then let go and is just chillin out but still looks not well. but defiantly better then yesterday!

If you have any thing to ask i will do my best to answer i put up as much info as i could think of.

Theres a reason anemones aren't reccomended until the tank is 1 year old.

Im sure there is some small amount, but in theory, Shouldnt nitrates be undetectable in the healthiest of settings? My API and Sailfert Nitrate Tests both read 0ppm on my 120g.

Do you have a lot of algae in your tank? Hair, film, coralline, whatever, just any large quantity of algae?

What are you feeding it? I feed mine Thawed Krill once or twice a week.

I agree, nitrates can be zero if there is appropriate export.
