Hmm, fraging it might would be a good idea. Would be a new venture for me I have yet to frag anything, as I'm still quite new to the hobby. Its something I definitely want to do in the future, so maybe this would be a good coral to work on seeing as it was free lol.

yea the battle with aiptasia can be a difficult one and I do it constantly. Maybe if u can break off the piece of the rock if it is thin enough and doesnt have other pieces of the coral on it lol I do that sometimes if it is a small enough piece the aiptasia has attached to and then I just set it out and let the stupid aiptasia dry up =)

what kind of coral is it? and if you could give a name or description, it could help in some fragging information. most corals are actually alot easier to frag than you think.

That's an easy fix than. Just snap the acro off of the rock right at the base, and glue it somewhere new in your tank.

Its not really on a rock, its more or less just a calcium skeleton all the way to where you see color starting. Is it OK to snap off the coral skeleton?

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just handle them as they come. You can get some biological solutions like Peppermint shrimp to battle for you. When I got rid of my aiptasia, I just injected the big ones with homemade Joe's Juice and put in two peppermint shrimp to handle the rest (unseen and those where I could not easily get). My problem was completely solved in a few weeks time. The peppermint shrimp are nocternal creatures, so you will hardly ever see them. Mine haven't been seen in months. They could be dead for all I know.....but I still don't have aiptasia.......so who knows......
