    Some clownfish choose not to host an anemone, it's all up to your clown.

    Clownfish will not 100% host up to an anemone. First, it must be the correct breed of clown to breed of anemone. Then if they are compatible breeds, that is not a guarantee it will host. Nature works in funny ways unfortunately.

    ive had clowns over the years host clams,torches,frogspawns, nems, chalices, big zoa colony any thing really

    The sacrifice of a small fuzzy animal to the spork god usually works.

    Seriously though.... it is a crap shoot. Have seen where people take a picture of another clown hosting that type of anenome to the outside of the tank to give your fish an idea of what he is supposed to do.

    dose your tank a little vodka, dim the lights and put some good music on.;D

    as for my clowns, they would rather a hammer or goniopora than a anemone.

    I set up my laptop with a playlist of "clownfish hosting anemone" videos off of youtube. It took maybe 15 hrs of videotime but yah, it worked.
