So I've had my tank for 4years now but I moved into a new house a year and a half ago and the tank obviously had to move too and through all that my Six Line Wrasse was the only surviving fish. I've had the wrasse since the beginning my 2nd fish! About a year ago I bought a baby Tomato Clown to host my Anemone and 3-4 months ago a Sleeper Goby... Everything was going great the Clown hosts the anemone feeds it and all, my levels are great water changes the whole nine... All of a sudden almost 2months now my anemone went from being the size of a softball to the size of a ping pong ball. Drastic shinkage!! What could it be?? I thought it was spawning into two but that never happened I tried target feeding it won't eat, I really don't know what to do but let nature take it's course... Any suggestions?? I joined this forum hoping some of you more seasoned vets can take me to school a bit!!! Anyone there???

Did it shrink right after the move? Has it been shrunk for two months or two months after the move? Sounds like a reaction to stress or paramaters. Hows your water?

I had the same thing happen to my BTA, my clown just wouldn't leave it alone and it died

Water parameters: Salinity 1.023-1.024 Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia, Phosphates, are all as low as can be and nowhere near high, Carbonate Hardness is nice and high between 10- 12, Calcium is a little low, other than that the water is in great condition and it has survived all my rookie mistakes for the last 4 yrs. Also I have noticed my six line wrasse picking on my clown and maybe that is stressing the anemone out because that's where the clown runs for cover! But either way it goes should I let nature run it's course??? What am I to do??

Anemones in the wild can live for allllllllllong time, decades.

    What type of Anemone?
    What type of lighting?

Are you using a hydrometer or refractometer to measure SG?

Yes an overly passionate Clown can kill an Anemone, but we (or at least I) need more specifics to offer any advice.

An image would really help as well.

^^+1 to Corailline. What type of anemone is very important. How long have you had the anemone?
