anemone sick or healthy

    hello i am new to the saltwater tanks.. I have 2 long tentical anemone's and i been doing some reading on them.. aparently not enough..lol
    I read somewhere that if they are a clear almost see threw color they are not healthy but that is the way i got them from the fish store... one is slowly turning to a brownish color and appears to b hiding in the back behind rocks.. I have been told to watch andsee if they appear to b acting normal..... umm hello fish store guy i just sed i was new to this i dont knw what normal is... so here's what they are doing....the smaller one stayin out in the open on a piece of dead like coral tube rock standing in moderate flow... color almost see threw and the tips seem to b curling over... healthy or no???? 2nd one is hiding partly under a piece of what appears to b lava rock man mad **** thingy hell i dunno guy sed it was live rock.. but it loosing its clearness and is a milkyish brown.. and opens up wide alot...im runnin twin halid lights and been feeding them live/dead guppies every 2-3 days....... any suggestions..........mufassa

    Pics will help, but feeding anemones at all will not be neccessary, especially under double halides, if you must feed them once a week, how deep is your tank?

    I wouldnt say they were ill or anything like that. It sounds like they are a new addition to your tank. Look for milky white stuff coming out of the mouth. Stop feeding them. Chances are they are going through a adjustment period. Pictures would help alot.

    doesnt look like you have anything to worry about. The LFS told me that they will get off the rocks and on bottom when they die.But when it does go off the rock dont freak out and flush it. They also relocate every now and then.

    did you do any research before buying those anemones? How long has your tank been up?

    ive been readin for weeks basically everything is tellin me the same they feed off zooantens(mispelled) they create from the lights... i have a halid lights for my tank and a smaller powerhead... some say if they clear like this that they have been bleached and are sick while others say this is normal.... i dont know what normal is so
    i will b adding more pictures of my tank here in a few minutes and i wanna say thankyou to everyone for thier help

    and yes.... that is my rat terrior who is fascinated with the crabs and fish of the tank.... she sat there like that for 3 hours one nite n we had to get pictures
