okay, my anemone thought it would be a perfect time to split after i had a water leak in my tank and had to empty the whole thing. all my water/lr/livestock is in buckets and bins. how long should i keep the anemone in the bucket or should i return it asap to the tank? thankyou.

I would put that in last after you have everything else in. Are you adding freshly made water too? Might want to re-acclimate your inverts, so they don't get shocked

ok good. if the temps are pretty close +/- 1 or 2 deg. they should be fine if you put them back in.

fwiw, anemones seem to like to split when you need to do an unplanned water change. That is the way it has been from my experience.

Just keep an eye on the clone to amke sure it does not travel over corals or into a powerhead or something. Now that would be bad karma...

I dunno, nothing brings a smile to my face than picking pieces of goop out of a power head.
