Curt, I feed my BTA's weekly, so they do split because they are fat and happy;)

I know several folks with the same results as what I am having by feeding weekly.

I'm not explaining myself well. Sorry. I'm quite tired. Let me try again.

Splitting is a survival mechanism. Often it's caused by the anemone not getting enough light and/or food, high nitrates, improper salinity, etc. This is generally what happens and is why I don't think most people have any business owning anemones.

Have you ever seen Greysoul's avatar. It's gross and funny at the same time but I'm using it only as an example. That woman with the back-boobs is clearly morbidly obese. If me and that woman were to do exactly the same thing in a day, she would require more calories. In any given day, she needs much more food than I do to support her mass. She likely has back problems (other than the back boobs), leg problems, chafing issues, and foot problems. Let's say a mad scientist approached her and said, "I have a way of making you 1/2 as heavy, put you in a position where you don't need to eat as many calories a day to survive, take away all of the back, leg, and foot pain....the only issue is I have to clone all your organs and transfer half of the fat over to your clone". To have a longer and better life, this person would jump at this chance. This is what an anemone is doing.....it's SURVIVAL BY EFFICIENCY. Even though it's still a survival technique, this kind isn't caused improper husbandry.

(I don't know if I explained this better or made what I'm trying to say more confusing)
