I would take him out of the tank and put him in a quarantine tank if you have one.

Is it still stuck in the powerhead? If it is, leave the powerhead off and see if it removes itself.

your best bet is to go to petsmart/walmart and get a small 10g tank and do a proper QT for the best chance for it to live. QT tanks are bare bottom and cheap to set up.

I'm not sure why quarantining is being suggested? You can't medicate it in order to save it and you'd need very strong lighting over that quarantine tank in order to keep the animal alive. If it's not falling apart/rotting, I would leave it in the tank for the time being and just keep an eye on it.

yes hes still in there. his foot is in there along with some tentacles.
    i feel so bad!
i just don't want him to die on me in my tank. that would be a disaster.

should i take the powerhead off the glass and onto the sand or should i just leave him?

    thanks for the quick responses.

Leave it alone. If it's still alive and strong enough, it will remove itself from the powerhead.

Plus the tank wouldn’t be stable. that would kill the anemone.

Keep the nem in the DT for now. It should come out of the powerhead on its own. Only if it beins to slime a lot then take it out.
