just buy a cheap hanging QT basket and keep em in there. Your LFS will have one

 

All it takes is a bad tear in a nem's foot to bring it down for good. Not worth the risk.

 

he got out. healing now. hopefully he will be able to survive. he suffered a pretty bad tear
i will have to leave him in the DT without a box tonight. everything is covered in filterfloss including powerheads now so
we will see how tonight goes. hes just bobbing around on the sand partially inflated

 

how is he now?

 

woke up and thank god for the filter fiber because he attached to my powerhead again. no damage because i have it covered.
he came off it and now is floating around my tank. i have the powerheads off to hopefully let him settle and a breeders box propped up on rocks over him incase the current brings him upwards to the top of the tank. he isn't attaching to the box, glass or rocks. dont really know what to do. figured iw ould wait and see if he will pick a spot.

finished a waterchange. beforehand paramaters were still all 0

 

The more you mess with the tank the less likely he will stay put. Just leave everything a love for a while.

 

i should keep the powerheads off right?
just leave him floating ontop of the sand tentalces down?

 

well just be glad that your params are ok. my ammonia is up. which scares the s*** out of me. i think my test kits are bad. but either way, im scared and keeping an eye on my nem. he seems fine now, but we'll see.

 

lets hope its just your test kit!
