I woke up this morning to find LTA sucked up to my Koralia 4 PH. His foot was sucked maybe an inch in between three of the plastic bars. The tentacles that were inside the PH were white (loss of circulation???). Anyway, I got the snippers and cut plastic bars and freed him. I did not cut him, although at this point I would think it would matter . So, my qestion is will he heal himself? He doesn't look too bad just in some pain. I have put him back in the tank for now to see how he does......

is his base ripped? if it not ripped i think there probably a good chance it will heal if its in great water quality.

if they ever have a rematch put me down for 50 dollars on PH lol

It didn't look like his base was ripped. Just his face (lol) and his tentacles, about an inch worth. If that makes any sense. His clownfish are bousing around in him now and his tentalces are stretching out like normal. I guess we will see.

losing tenticles shouldnt be a problem, anemones should be able to handle that because some fish will bite them off

I had a Rose BTA that was about baseball size and it got sucked through the powerhead over night. When I found it I scraped it off the best I could. All that was life was about the size of a nickle so I shoved it in a hole hoping it would come back. That was about 6 months ago and its now almost back to normal size. I think if its a healthy speciman in a well maintained tank it will come back. :) Good luck

Same here I have had several go through power heads at at least partially. None of them died. Some of them split right after that though.

Well, this is good to hear. He is looking better. I have noticed some of his tips must have gotten hit by the propelar because they are a little rough looking. I'm thinking he may make it. I will cry if he doesn't :-[

wow you wouldnt think much would get stuck in a korilla with all of the intake vents, i have a hagen with only a 1 inch dia hole and the suction is pretty strong.... maybe i should think about getting a filter on the bottom or somthing to avoid this happening..

good luck with your lta tho hows it doing now?

Wow. Good save. Too bad about the K-4 though. Is it still usable?
