I have 2 Anemonies a Malu and a Bubbletip. I baught them for my Clowns but they don't want them so i got 2 Anemone crabs and they have took up resident in them, I feed them lancefish and mussels and they gulp it down, they are thriving, but what is confusing me is, everywhere i read it says they need bright light which i have, but they seem to like it better when the light are off. they are bigger and their tenticles are bigger when light off, then when light on. is this natural?

Well I have read somewhere that at night the coral will extend it's tentacles and reach out for plankton. I am not sure if that goes for anemonies as well but if so, it might be the explanation as to why they look more lively in the dark.
