I have a 45g reef tank with a few corals and fish. I have a bubble tip anenome and a brain in the tank, last night the anenome decided to move from its regular spot and move on top of the brain, when i discovered this i moved the brain. a couple hours later the brain had this white spot on it and a couple of the anenomes fingers were shrivled up. now the brain is covered in what looks like his own dying grey flesh i moved him to a different spot with more water flow because it looked like he had crap growing on him and when i did the the dead looking tissue just blew away and now a lot of the parts that had his color are gone and his little brain mouth looks open. then the anenome has half way shriveled up and its mouth is slacked open. what should i do? I know both of them have poison and **** on them that i dont want released in my tank to kill everything else. I dont have a hospital tank even though i know i should. what do i do?

i would relax and take a deep breath. right now the best thing you can do for them is give them perfect water quality. and keep them away from each other

no i wouldnt be to concerned. if you have activated carbon i would recommend running it.

also watch then anemone if it starts to dissolve toss it, the last thing you need for your brain is a parameter spike

Test the water. If everything checks out, you do not need to do a water change. I am not so much worried about the brain than the anemone. As long as that anemone is adhering to it's rock and the tenticles are sticky (not slimy), I think you will be alright. Your brain might be toast, but it's hard to tell without a pic to look at.

i guess its good to get someone worrying more about the anemone.
as i am bias against them
i dont think they belong in reefs
well because of situations like this lol.
anemones arent reef safe in my opinion

I absolutely love anemones. But IMO, they are worse than Sea Apples in their destructive capabilities. I have heard of only a few SA going south due to water quality, but anemonies go down to water quality, war with other corals, war with powerheads, the list goes on. When I get my nitrates under control, I am getting another myself. Living on the edge dude, living on the edge......

I upload to photobucket and copy the url from there. Then I click on the 'mountain square thingy' in the same bar you find your bold, italic, underline, etc and put it in there. Presto. Pic comes up.
