I woke up and my rbta was on my powerhead so I turned it off and it's fine. He's just been sitting there all day, and I don't think it wants to move. How can I get it to move so I can start my powerhead again? Thanks for any answers

Or you can try putting a cube of ice at the base. That sometimes works too.

power heads should be covered with a sponge or something if you have anemones in your tank. sorry to get on the soap box but this is important.

One of mine went out slimming around last month and parked next to one of the MP40's; luckily my MP's were long since covered after some Peppermint Shrimp found them...
I did turn it off and he moved back down to the rocks.

Yes, they climb/slim anywhere they want. The MP40 is about 14" from the bottom. Currently I have three in this tank and they all stay about 4" down from the MP40 in the rock work as happy as an RBTA can be.

I didn't know they could move when I got my first one until he slimmed his way out of the acclimation container....ha

very neat. I would love to have a mobile coral looking anemone... I'm researching to get a better understanding of the hobby before diving head first... Sad to think they could damage other corals in the tank.... how do you think you would prevent that from happening?
