They require algae and vegetable type food and also meaty foods. A seaweed clip would be very helpful. They will graze on the live rock, so I hope you have a significant amount. They are however one of the easier to care for angels, post a pic if you can.

Our Coral Beauty is highly picky on food. She'll only eat Rod's Food and a special herbivore food called "Ocean Nutrition Formula 2". Both frozen foods. She picks at the rocks all day long as well.

Naturally, what she eats, all the other fish will eat as well. They aren't as picky. She'll bite at a mysis and spit it back out. ::)

Very pretty fish. Ours is kind of A-D-D but that's ok :D

My Coral Beauty is just that......a true beauty. Mine eats anything you throw at it. AND it has just picked up a new taste for Zoas and my Musroom Coral. I am not happy. I am currently building a DIY fish catcher......and it is GOING BACK TO THE LFS.

So beware. They, like mine, can gain a taste for corals later on in life.

That's really too bad, they are such beautiful fish. How long have you had it before it developed a taste for corals?

Mine would only eat off the rocks till I got Artic-Pods. She flips out for that stuff.
Pharmr has a point they can turn on corals, even after being ok in the tank. Otherwise the prettiest fish I have.

I got this fish when my tank was one month old. So about 9 months. It is a tough little bugger too. It has had a BAD case of fin rot twice and pulled though with flying colors. I hate to get rid of it. I may live on the edge and get a flame angel. I know I am getting myself into the same situation (possibly), but it is worth it. If it ain't one thing.....it's another. At least in this hobby. As long as it stays away from my Sea Apple, I am cool.

With all angels, it is important to supplement it's meals with an angel specific food that is fortified with marine sponges. Fin rot, ich, and other problems can arise if not supplement with it
