Ok well my Flame Angel Fish that I have had since I began the hobby died this morning  I am very very upset about especially since I don't know how it happened because he was the most lively healthiest fish I have ever owned. I think it might of been just his time though. The params are good so I know its not that. And another thing is that my LFS asked me how long I have had it for and they were amazed for some reason, when I asked why they were amazed they said michigan has been getting aweful shipments of them and they havent lived past a couple of months. Even though I am upset I still want to get another angelfish, probably not the same kind though. I was wondering if anyone here could send me some names of angel fish that are reef safe and dont get to big. I know of 2 currently the flame angel and coral beauty. Any info is greatly appreciated. The reason I am posting now is because I have been busy with other things like getting prepared for finals.

Sorry about your loss! I read somewhere the dwarf angels don't live that long, but I don't know if that's true or not.

The Cherub Angel and African Flameback Angel are supposed to be "reef safe."

sorry to hear about your loss. :(

bi-color angel might be reef safe..

I think smaller dwarf angels are the route to take.

Thank you for the thoughts. I was thinking of leaning towards a coral beauty. What is that angelfish with the black background skin with blue and white lines on it? is that one reefsafe?

Yeah...there are a couple different angels that look like that while juvenile. They are all large angels, and most likely not reef safe.
