I think you should get a flagfin. If you want to do both, add them at the same time.

I have both together and they were added within about a week of each other and no problems. They actually spend all their time together. They do chase each other from time to time but never any marks on either.

i would not put two of any kind of angel in the same tank unless the tank was very large, and yours is not that big. its definitely possible but its unlikely you will have no aggression between them. also stick with dwarf angels. no large angel could fit in a 90 gallon tank.

I second what BVB stated. I wouldnt recommend putting 2 angelfish together since you dont have a large enough tank size. I would hate to see one or both fish take aggression out on other fish/coral or themselves. In the end this would be a lose lose for both you and the fish.

I have a Half Black and a Red Flame Angel in my 100 gallon tank. They are both Pygmys. The Half Black has been in the tank for 3 years. The Red Flame was added last year. They love each other and swim together all the time.

I was worried about adding two Angels so I added the Red Flame the night before my day off so I could stay up and keep an eye on them. I kept pretty close tabs on them for about 6 hours before I decided it was safe to leave them alone and go to bed.

If there had been a problem, I have other salt tanks that one of them could have been put in but I really wanted to have 2 in the same tank.

The odds are against it but it can be done with Pygmys and it's always good to have a backup plan in case it doesn't work the way you want it to.

I would not try it with the larger Angels as 100 gallon is not enough room for both of them to grow and thrive.

ive had a coral beauty angel for about 3 months now and from what every1 here is saying that i couldnt add a flame angel? i had to get rid of a dottyback and a kole tang cause they were chasing my angel and diamond goby. im just thinking like i would freshwater (LOL) that there be some fighting between them for a little while then settle down like most fish.

I think a regal or flagfin wou,d be fine in a 90. If both angels are the same size and added at the same time, each will be perfectly able to form its own territory. Before adding them try moving rocks and corals, there will be a scramble for new territories and each area will be fair game. As long as both fish are healthy you should be good. The original pecking will die down.
Says who? There are plenty of multi-angel tanks all over the net.

Also their was an article written in the last issue of RKM, the one with the Coral Beuty on the front. I would recommend you read this as it talks extensively about multi angel tanks. As John Coppolino (angel man) once said, avoid dump and hope, a healthy, QTed fish can surve original harrassment.

My suggestion would be to avoid the chance and get a different genus. Look at the japanese swallowtail, bellus, lamarck, or any of the genicanthus family. They are my favorites and are reef safe.
