Originally started this tank as a Peacock Mantis tank. Sadly, he passed away recently.

So now begins the next Journey. This time, I'm going with an Angler Fish

    As for the tank:

    • 24x24x14 AIO (Should hopefully have).

    Lighting:
    • None - Only the lights in my Office

    Heater:
    • Aqueon Pro 150w

    Return Pump:

    Water Flow:
    • Loc-Line split in two directions.
    • Maybe an MP10 down the road

    Livestock:
    • Angler Fish
    • Odontodactylus Scyllarus - Peacock Mantis Shrimp - RIP 4/4/13

    Coral:
    • None - This will be a FOWLR Tank

    Sketch of the Tank:

Maxi-Jet 900 Utility Pump arrived today.

I checked with Marine Depot before ordering to confirm output size:

Well, turns out Walter was incorrect. I called after receiving the order and explained what had happened. They verified that the output is in fact 3/4. After a short discussion MarineDepot is shipping me the following:

    • FT1314 3/4 inch Clear Flexible Vinyl Tubing / Ft
    • FT6243 Insert Reducer Coupling Fitting - 3/4in Insert x 1/2 inch Insert

Needless to say I'm quite happy with their customer service :) !

Agreed, stowaway's & mystery guests in live rock are what give mantis' a bad name. You'll find anyone that every intentionally owned or or spent time researching them, luv em.

Since it's a tank for a mantis I would try going for more of a platform scape rather than staking or making a lagoon look or w/e. i also dont understand why no corals, will the mantis shrimp attack leathers and zoas and even sps or a chalice? or do u not want to spend much on lighting..

but ya i would make more of a platform base with a nice central cave since mostly it will borrow in it's den and what not
