    Gorgeous tank. I have been strongly considering a pico for my desk at work recently.

    Picked up two different types/brands of substrate tonight.

    Any suggestions/thoughts/etc. ...Which would you choose and why?

    I used and would recommend a mix. You dont want to go with jsut big stuff cause its harder for them to pack into nooks & crannies when building thier lairs. Think of it as bricks & mortar. I used some marco coarse which is still kinda find, and some caribsea sea coarse. I think she is pretty happy with it.

    Thanks khowst. I was planning on mixing this with my live sand which is fine grade sand. Should have specified that, my mistake.

    I left my glasses at work, but those are both regular substrate & not crushed coral right? dont want CC cause just like bottom dwelling fish you can scratch thier under belly.
