New to this site but wanted to get a threads going for all those angler owners out there. Feel free to post pics and ask questions. I'm pretty new to this my shelf but am obsessed with anglers. I currently have a 75 gallon tank with 4 anglers and one marble cat shark and i made the panther grouper mistake when i first got in to the hobby a year ago and he is now about 10 to 12 inches.

I'm honestly trying not to be "that person", and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that warty will come up missing one day, and you'll likely lose the fish that ate it as well, as that's simply too large a meal for a fish with such a slow metabolism, and it will begin to decompose in the diner's GI tract before it can be digested.

To be honest, anglers are best kept in single-species, single-specimen setups, as they can swallow prey twice their own size, and are easily picked on by browsing fishes.

Pretty fish tho...good luck with them.

We have a few of these videos on our site that puts it all in perspective.... anglers will try to eat anything.

Eventually, one mate will give his neighbour "a go".

that group picture is too cool! Of course, the coolness always has to be tempered in this hobby tho....:( I don't know a lot about them but I would trust what he has to say in terms of keeping them. They are such a cool looking fish!
