I recently added a normal firefish into my 24gallon aquapod. Its been about 2 weeks and i started to notice that whenever it comes out of its hole, my two clownfish(false perculas) just swim it back into its home. I was just wondering if they are still figuring out territory or if this will stop over time so that the firefish will be able to swim around, and also if there is anything i can do! Thanks in advance!

Clowns tend to be like that until they get put in their place by some other fish when in a tank that small because they will usually just claim almost the whole tank as their territory IME. I know this doesn't really help you but i am just telling you what i have seen while dealing with clownfish. Sometimes the clowns will learn to accept the new addition after awhile but you will always see some aggression.

a firefish was the only thing to ever die in my tank, i got a yellow tang it chased it back into its hole , just as you said. well he stayed in his hole so much he did not eat, and my hermits eventully found him, and a firefish will allow himself to be eaten alive or starve to death befor they will come out of there burrow and fight for domanince.

its just the individuals fish personality, cause ive seen plenty of fire fish with yellow tangs, clowns, and many other aggressive fish.

if he still comes out to eat and is healthy then the fish is just mimicking his natural tendencies to bolt into his hole, and come out when there is food near by. some may just be bolder than others.

I just saw a firefish in the store for the first time yesterday. Much more beautiful in person. Pictures on the internet just don't do them justice.

I had a firefish in my 24 aquapod with a clown, and ended up moving the clown into another tank. The clown was picking on the firefish and it had pretty nasty torn up fins. IMO if you are going to have 2 clowns in your tank, you probably shouldn't put anything else in there. But, that is just my opinion. I eventually put a black cap basset and a pajama cardinal in with my firefish and they all get along very well.
