    Hello all,

I have a mean, and I mean, MEAN blue hippo in my tank. So far he's killed 2 fish and all he does all day is swim around and try to run over the other tankmates (clown, psuedo, foxface). He literally tries to attack them and I've seen him on numerous occasions corner the foxface and ram him into the wall. As you all probably know, hes a pain in the you know what to try and catch. Is there a way to fix this? I want him out of my tank, hes too mean and I can see he stresses out the rest of the fish. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!

You catch him at night while he is sleeping.
trust me, i have a powder blue that has a temper and he gets caught and sumped for a few months on a regular basis. Solitary confinement usually sets him straight until I add a new fish... then he goes all crazy again.

If you are really worried about the overall sanity of the tank in the future, you might try to take him to you LFS and swap for a calmer fish, once you snag him...

thanks all! dynamite sounds like an outstanding idea - but the cleanup could be a pressing issue lol. Whats a plexi glass trap? Where can I get my hands on one of those? This little butthead needs to be out!!

This will work! I have the original, since my fish are all smaller, but it may still be large enough just to catch it! I also bring it to my LFS whenever buying new fish or inverts. Then bring it home and its ready to acclimate :)
