You did a nice job picking out the rock, lots of purple! The scape is awesome too, good luck with your tank!

Welcome to 3reef, very nice rock work. Gonna correct you on one point. You don't fall in love with your tank, you become addicted. And it only becomes worse when you add coral.

I'd like to see some pics of this tank!! WC 1x every 3 months? A Yellow tang in a 29g? Not good advice to be giving to a newbie :(

So I finally got my skimmer, uv sterilizer, and circulation pump in!! I was a little skeptical about getting the biocube protein skimmer but I got all three items brand new for $48!!! So I thought i would give it a try!

Ive been doin this for a good 3 years now and i work at a fish store that is very reliable and alota people support me in what im doing. Did i tell her to put a YT in the tank? no i didnt, so technically im not giving her that advice. Most of the people i know in this hobby who have a mature tank that doesnt have SPS they also only do water changes every 2-3 months. Trust me, ik what im doing..Im not an idiot.

Here are my Params...Just to prove.

    Nitrate-0ppm
    Nitrite-0ppm
    Alk-10dKh
    Calcium-425
    Ph-8.2
    Ammonia-0
    Salinity-1.026

There is a thread of my tank..

Sorry for that Anna, just proving a point.

Just because someone has a YT in their tank doesnt mean you have to do it, i am quite expierenced in this, ive had 2 YT in 29g and they bothed lived for a while until i had to sale the tank, i have had a only a loss of under $250 in this hobby, which is not that much considering its been 3 years in this hobby so far.

Sweet! If that slimmer isn't great you could look into upgrading the airstone in it to a better one.

You really shouldn't have a Yellow Tang in a biocube. That isn't good for them even if they are really small. Somebody was going to say it. If you have more questions, just PM me.

The damsels will be hard to remove if you ever want to add other fish. Is your tank cycled?
