Let me know how your V2 UV light is, I had the V1 and I blew threw 3 in 8 months. I called Oceanic and they admitted to having a poor design and could do nothing for me. I purchased the JBJ Nano Zap and so far am pretty happy. Nice tank BTW :)

I hated my Biocube skimmer -- returned it to Petco after using it for like 6months of constant wet skimmate. They gave me store credit which I put towards upgrading to a Hydror Slim-Skim and upgraded the stock pump to a Hydror 325gph.

I originally also had the UV sterilizer but I read several places that everything that passes through the UV light is sterilized. Yes this is great for algae spores, aiptasia spores, ect... But this also includes your pod population. If you're sterilizing your pods they won't reproduce and I know that one of the coolest things I discovered with owning a SW tank is over time the different pod populations that start to appear on the LR and the glass. I have at least 6 noticebly different copepods and A LOT of big fat amphipods.

Again I'm not 100% but I don't think the UV sterilizer is necessary. TBH just do a 5g WC weekly and you're tank will be in perfect condition. You won't need a skimmer, you won't need a sterilizer if you do 5g WC weekly in that tank and keep your temp SG and other param's in check!

Looks great, let me know if you have questions about the Biocube. I've made a lot of modifications that IMO are for the best! :-D
