Alright i had to post, I'm annoyed. My blue/purple mushroom keeps on detaching itself from the frag rock he is in. I tied him with out the frag rock, onto a reg size rock & with fishline btw, and he slipped out. Then i glued him to frag rock, he ripped himself out. Also put him in a shot glass with some rubble to attatch for like a day and nothing either. ***?! He is at the bot of the tank where there is mild flow. What do I do? I just don't want him to go into a cave or under a rock.

Funny thing is whenever he gets attatched somewhere new he gets all wrinkly and ugly. But then settles and then rips himself off.

Get some bridal veil and rubber band it to a rock with the mushroom underneath for at leasttwo weeks.

+1, that is the only way I can get them to attach.......mushrooms slime up royally and glue will never hold them down. Because of the slime, they slip out of everything but the bridal veil. You can get it at most hobby stores for fairly cheap. I usually leave it on for a month......

    +1 to the above posts.

I just wanted to add when fragging and attaching corals without glue, you can usually expect it to take quite a bit of time for them to attach. They are not like anemones where they can move around, attach and detach when they want. (other than plate coral moving around :))

I like to take the rock I am gluing the shroom on and put a dab of glue and sand in, just to hold it for a bit.
