    i got this LR recently and noticed these little brown polups. it also has this black velvet looking stuff also.

    is there any special care to be taken and are they safe for my reef. any idea on the black velvet stuff.

    No special care, just good lighting. but I did notice that they are missing their "tenticles", have you tested your water? As for the "black stuff", its hard to tell, but looks like black sponge. I have that all over the place. Luna

    i just turned lights on in this pic. they colse up a little at night. Also they are about the size of the hole of the p key on your keyboard. anyway they are babys . i will update w/ pics when they mature. thanx for all your help
