Inwall, I was thinking cuke too, but I don't have much experience with them, so I've never seen feeder tentacles that look quite like that. That would probably be where I'd start looking first, though.

This type you often seen in a hole in a rock or under it. Great critters.

For a while, this hobby was in this "diversity" mode where diversity was what was needed to keep a reef tank. If you fall into this group of hobbyists, then this is an AMAZING hitchhiker. I don't necessarily run my tanks in this way. I manage to run tanks just fine without purposely managing diversity. However, I like diversity just as much as those people simply because I like weird critters. ;D I honestly don't think that the amount of filter-feeding this guy does will have much impact on your water quality.....but I still think it's cool because you can show your friends how it eats.

There's no way of knowing how big it is without ripping apart your rockwork. A little phytoplankton every now and again will benefit it.

I had one disappear before. I missed it because he ate like I eat fried chicken. You have to lick each "finger". When I upgraded that tank I found out he was just in the back and had moved into a hole in the rock where he was getting more flow (and therefore, more food).

I don't want to tear up anything, the tank is starting to settle in real nice, creatures are coming out of the woodwork, besides I think it moved already, tanks inwall.
