another ID needed....what is this tube?

    its a purple tube, maybe 1/2" high...and it looks coiled at the base

    there is definitely something in it, when i stuck my hand in, a little head or something retracted

    any thoughts?

    Vermetid snail. Either put a dab of super glue over the end or take the rock out and chip it off. They're harmless but they multiply fast. The send out a web to catch food and the web is irritating to some corals.

    LOL so do I. They even grow on the astrea and nerites! I wish I'd killed the first one I ever saw but to late now.
