This has been in my tank for quite a while - grows very slowly. It's the purple thing with white fluorescent tips under the zoas. Any ideas?

Some kind of amemone but I'm not sure which. I would say that it was a majano if it had a green center but it doesn't. Might be a baby bubble tip but, again, am not sure.

It's been there for at least six months and has grown very little, hasn't really spread except on the tip of the same rock, and hasn't popped up in other places. I looked on some other hitchhiker threads and couldn't find anything like it. The tips really glow under the actinics. Also, when you look at it from a different angle, the tips almost come to a point on the ends. Don't know if any of this helps or not!

Looks like some type of anemone to me too, baby bubble tip was a good idea I think. What happens if you disturb it, does it retract into itself, does it have a skeleton?

I pulled out my trusty magnifying glass - the tips are almost "tulip" shaped. I also gave it a little poke with the tongs and it retracted into itself. I looked in google images the tulip-shaped tips go along with a bubble tip anemone. Intriguing!
