I just have my VHO's for now. I have some zoos and I am thinking on picking up a frag pack of zoos. First are all zoos going to have enought light in my tank? Second when I upgrade to some 175watt halides is that going to be too much light?

    Hi Urban,

With your current lights it looks like you're just uner 3W/Gal. This will easily handle zoos. I probably wouldn't put them in the sand, but they'll still grow slowly down there. Of course more light and good suppliments will help them grow faster. Adding 175W MH lights will definitely help them grow. The main concern here is that you don't "bleach" them. If you add 2 175W lights, then you probably want to move your zoos down in the tank and then acclimate them back up. I have 415W of total light in my tank which equates to ~9W/Gal. My zoos have acclimated and are growing great just ~6" under the water surface.
