I moved the rock that I had my red mushrooms on so they would not be getting a very strong current and I looked where the rock was sitting on a newer live rock I had purchased and I found this little guy. It looks like an anenome but I'm not sure what it is. Anyone of any ideas. The pictures are not that great, but I hope they will do.

Based on what i can see in the picture (somewhat hard to tell), I would say it is aipstasia. I would look to get rid of it before it spreads- just google aipstasia removal and you should find plenty of ways to get rid of them. Just do NOT pluck it out, it will release "babies"

Aptashia is a yes and plz kill it, i have seen people use lemon juice and a syringe and shoot a little in the base of the aptashia and it should kill it.

I just had 2 of these little guys pop up after a year and a half running my tank, boiled some rodi water and sucked it up in the syringe, (careful, it likes to shoot out when tilted the wrong way....LOL) shot it into the base of the 2 aptasias, and watched them melt away, didn't even have to remove the rock from the water, just held it suspended. They are easy to kill, bad to let live, since they will thrive. If you want, peppermint shrimp are rumored to eat the little guys, but they have to acquire taste for them. If they have a well varied diet, this wont work.

Definitely Aiptasia. Get rid of it immediately, unless you want them to grow all over the place ;)
