So I recently tore my 150 gallon tall down. It was a planted discus tank that was up and running for 3 years. Have always wanted to do a reef tank. I went on a shopping spree, it is finally coming together after 2 weeks. Ordered 150 lbs of marco rocks on monday and received them today. Just got done stacking them in the tank. I think it turned out really well. Made a couple caves with them and areas where the fish can swim through. It looks like a bunch of rock but I eventually want alot of coarls. My lights are high bay ho t5's with 8 lamps. Ordered 4 blue plus and 2 purple plus and ill run 2 10000 k along with them. Bought a octopus diablo dc200 skimmer, waiting for it to arrive so I can build my sump. The sump will be a 40 gallon breeder. Mainly just waiting for it to cycle so I can add the cleanup crew. Im sure ill have some questions as my project matures.

Looks good, you have a lot of nice places for corals up high.

Just ordered 2 more hydors. I have a 1400 gph and a 1150 gph running now. The 2 I ordered are 600 gph. These will go on the back blowing through the rocks just to be sure there are no dead spots. I did drop a flake of food in and it never stopped moving so I think im ok but to be sure I figured if nothing else ill have a couple power heads on hand. I thought eventually ill add a bunch of corals up high, that was the reason for so much surface area on top. Not sure I was suppose to, but I did add a small hermit tonight just to get the cycle going. I already had one ammonia spike and it has gone back to nothing. Hopefully soon ill get my skimmer and get the sump built so I can get rid of my fluval fx5. I had 2 of those running on my discus tank.
