    It looks badass!

Totally looks like a feather star ... if you put it anywhere but in your fuge I'm guessing it will become a snack for someone.

And i'd be moving it with a net ... but thats because I hate spiders and that kinds looks like a spider and I wouldn't touch it haha.

If you're not a wuss though ... I'm sure you could just scoop him up and move him over

+1 Feather Star. I had one in the past poor guy starved to death. I later learned they thrive in poorer water conditions with very high levels of detris. You possibly acquired this by using Reef Bugs or Reef Snow or simular products.

Transfer it in a small Tupperware container filled with water, they do extremely poor if exposed to oxygen. You fuge would be good but stick it near some rubble because they will attach and filter feed. If you baste the stuff that settles to the bottom of the fuge (low flow enivironment) it will increase its chances of survival from adding filter food near it.

Honestly, it's probably surviving BECAUSE it's in your filter sock. Plenty of flow with food.

Agree with the fuge, but it might not make it...

^ best answer. However, I can understand the desire to move it to someplace you can see it when you like. Feather stars like lots of flow with lots of food particulate in the flow. Hence you sock was perfect.

This thing has obviously survived for quite a while in my DT. I"m assuming 7000gph flow in my DT is why its doing good. Seems to be another small one in the sock with him. Freaking weird... I don't know what I'm going to do with it. Maybe sneak him back in the DT at night, but he will probably end up back in the sock in the near future.

Undo your sock with it in water so a bowl & move it in the sock/bowl & set it in your sump water & slowly turn the sock inside out :)
