    Yes sometimes ice storms in here in SD take down hundreds of miles of power lines. Especially if the wind comes up after the ice has formed.

    Well, we got out power back on around 5pm last night. I'm working right now on getting everything back up and running properly. So far, everything has survived and done well. We didn't have power for 50 hours which is a new record for me. Thanks everybody for the well wishes.

    That is the exact reason I just bought a generator! Peace of mind....
