Well i bought 10 to cycle my big tank. 1 died on the way home. Another died that night. 4 died due to a fault in my overflow system. (fixed now). So now i just have 4 left , but they are doing brilliantly. They aren't shy, or passive as other people say. They are little hooligans! They are the first to the top of the tank when feeding comes, and dont let the other fish even have a look in. ;)
I also saw the biggest chromis i've even seen today. It must have been about 6'' in length and was really chunky!! Held its own in an aggresive FO tank as well.

I bought 12 for my 220 one time just because I wanted a school of fish. I had 12 on day one 10 on day 2 7 on day three then over weeks one missed then onether and they finally dissipeared. I have had no luck with them either. There was nothing in the tank that was aggrissive towards them.

Green Chromis are as hardy a fish that I can find. I use them to break in new tanks because of that.
If your losing them and the tank is broke in then your water parameters are off and you know no other livestock is killing them
