Do you all have a problem with keeping the snails in your tanks with a top on?

I have never really had a problem with PH, but who knows down the road i may have...this is sounding more and more like the best thing I have done to the tank since i put water in it lol! Oh and i have never seen any snails on the glass tops, but i have seen one of my mexican turbo giants (seriously i didnt know snails got that huge lol) on the plexiglass brace in the middle...had no idea what he was doing there since the water doesnt even touch it...

Lol, my aquarium is almost completely covered. I am still finding some of my Nerite Snails on the floor behind the stand when I go to clean. I just throw them back in and they seem to be fine, but they like to be suicidal I guess, lol. I would guess that a mesh top would do the same thing the my glass top is doing though.

i dont have any nerites, never have, maybe its a nerite thing lol. i like the turbos but the mexicans are my fav. i got 3 after a added my first few pounds of live rock and didnt know what hair algea was lol, i thought it was just pretty green grass when i bought the rock from my lfs hahahaha. well they took care of that in like 2 days, and in the year since i got them they have quadrupled in size, the one is almost half the size of my fist! i just lost one though! ( i think from my psuedo, he picks on them sometimes and i guess he just stressed that one out too much....
