    So i just bought a cleaner shrimp today, he got right to cleaning my tang. BUT when he cleans him my blackspot tang turns COMPLETELY white! Is this a problem? Because he still lets him clean him??

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Tangs turn colors normally, I would not be too concerned.

    Are you feeding Nori sheets, or any marine algae? I would also include foods high in HUFA and or Selcon as well as garlic.


    A cleaner shrimp only provide symptomatic relief to the tang it does not combat disease or eat Marine Ich.

    Okay thank you! I feed him brine shrimp and marine algae with garlic. I am not sure where to get selcon. What form does it come in?

    Selcon is liquid. The tang may change color to make it easier for the shrimp to find parasites or it could be a response to say it is at a cleaner station.

    Agree with the advice given but do you realise that Tang can grow to over a foot and a half long?Min. tank size is 250.:(

    Yes yes i do! I dis realize that after i got it home from the fish store. I plan on donating him to a large aquarium in the near future. I dont want him to suffer
