    I have a 90g with the following:

    1 firefish
    2 ocellaris clowns
    1 twinspot goby
    1 lubbock's fairy wrasse
    1 striped bristletooth tang

Would I be able to add a small regal tang 2", or a small mimic without pushing the limits to much? 5 out of my 6 fish are small, and I would like another centerpiece fish which has some color. I have always loved tangs, too bad my tank isn't bigger. Thanks

Anything can happen and is not impossible. Good filtration and the hopes that their won't be an aggressor fish...you should be fine!

Tangs get agressive as they get and if there is not enough food.

Small Tangs turn into big Tangs!!!!
That being said, try a Scopas, Sailfin or a White-Face Tang. They aren't as aggressive as Yellows or Purple's!

Sailfins grow to 15inches, so i wouldn't reccomend one. However, i have never kept a tang in a tank smaller than 100G so i couldnt give an educated opinion. I would go a yellow, cause i personally like them, and a small one would be fine, as long as you can upgrade it to a bigger tank if the time comes!!

    Good Luck

I've had both a regal and the yellow mimic. Both get along fine but the regal is an absolute ich-magnet. And...maybe it's just me but the yellow mimic's color change into an adult is kind of...drab. If you really like a nice tang and money isn't too much of an issue, I'd consider a chevron (peaceful/docile but is the same genus and the bristletooth/kole) or a purple but is similar to the sailfin.

Whatever you do...just don't get a sohal or a clown tang. I have both and it's because of both that I put together a second tank.

A yellow tang is your best option beccause they are an easy fish to look after if the water parameters are right, they eat well and one of the easiest tangs to care for. Good luck with your choice.

If you have to get another Tang. I think you choices are fine. As mentioned above, avoid the same genus as you already have. That will redoes the chance of aggression.
Always keep in mind adult sizes
