Thanks guys. Well after trouble shooting with Mike, I have to send the driver back. On the plus side as long as I send them a tracking number they will go ahead and send the new one out even before the other gets back to them. As far as the acrylic siliconed in, yeah, I've thought about the longevity of it. I found some saltwater marine sealant that says bonds to acrylic and glass. It's not really a silicone and was specifically rated for saltwater. The two pieces of acrylic are actually bonded together with Weld-On #4.

Ok, well after some trouble shooting it was determined that the driver was bad. So I sent mine back yesterday and Mike dropped a replacement in the mail for me yesterday as well. In the meantime, I got the baffles installed in the sump. I really wanted a fuge and was concerned I wouldn't have enough space but in the end I had enough room for all of the equipment and a small fuge area. Pics to come soon, 12hr night shifts are killer but it's only for 5 days at a time and tonight is night number 5.

Ok, well not the best picture in the world but I'll get some good ones up around the beginning of the week. Sand, base rock (50lbs RC rock), and saltwater are in, sump/fuge is up and running, and lights are working like a charm. Had a bit of a hitch when my union check valve started leaking. Turns out all I needed was some plumbers tape around the thread, that was a relief. The fuge currently has LR from my established tank and some of the water came from a water change I did on my two other tanks. I'll be getting everything moved over shortly, crazy work schedule is a little prohibitive of getting tank work done. I'm going to be placing an order at reefcleaners to get some mangroves, macro algae, and a barnacle cluster if they have some in.

Ok, here are some better pics with some more of the lights. I still haven't moved everything over from the BC29 yet. I used mature water and some live rock from my established tank during the setup but I'm getting a sporadic ammonia reading. Everything else is spot on but I'll test for NH4 at one point and it will come up 0 but the next time it will show a little bit. Not sure if my test kit is just a little old or what, but I will say that color charts for test kits are the devil. I have a kenya tree in there right now just to see how it goes. I ordered a clip on fuge light from aquacave so that should be here next week. Turns out they didn't have any of them in stock and I got a call from them today giving me an update on my order and that it should ship out on friday. I was actually a little shocked that they personally called me and just didn't send me an email, pretty cool IMO. The white bin in the stand is going to be the ATO reservoir and I'm loving my side access doors already, makes getting the reservoir in and out a breeze. Doors are coming sometime in the future. I'm not sure how well you can tell in the pictures, but in the last one of my lights, you can see how I did the covering. It's an angle bracket attached to either side of the heatsink offset with a spacer and then a piece of clear acrylic just slides in to cover the lights. Thanks to evolved for the idea.

Maybe I just skipped over it during my reading of the thread...

But, What kind of skimmer do you have on that? Looks, to be an Octopus of some sort.
