Anpgp's 40B w/20 sump build thread *Pic update 10/6*

Thanks! I love the rock work too, I spent a good amount of time getting it there. It was a tough balancing act between using new base rock and the established LR. I was just happy I got my future SPS "shelf" on the right hand side to work out how I wanted ;D.

 

The scape looks nice. Very low to the ground on the left. I like it. Your sump area is very clean and organized too.

My mag drive pump is loud. What do you use to subtle all the vibration on the glass? I have a sponge under the pump now - not helping much.

 

Mine is actually sitting up on an acrylic stand about 2" above the glass, kind of a bad measurement on the plumbing on my part but in the end worked out to equal a quiet return pump so I'm not complaining. I've heard the if you take some rubber tubing and split it down the middle to form a U-shaped channel that it works very well when placed under the mag pumps. You could always try that.
