    for what it's worth my lfs said the mounds are made by snails. funny, i don't remember purchasing snails.
    I'm certain they hitchhiked via my LR i purchased when i started my tank.
    The pink spotted goby i got thinks it's an interior designer and makes quick work
    out of any mounds. anyone else who's owned one of these gobies knows what i mean haha

    I have the same thing, and have watched sand coming up from the center, in a stream..
    Very strange..
