So I picked up a pair of ignitus anthias last saturday, 1 male and 1 female. After acclimating the fish I placed them in the tank and the female fled in to my overflow, after eventually getting the fish out of the overflow box the following day and in to the DT I have not seen it since. I am worried about the fish not eating since I have not seen it since I got it out of the overflow.

What I am wondering is how long would this fish last without eating before it dies? At this point I just want to make sure if the fish does die I get it out my tank asap before it causes in ammonia spike and harms my other fish or corals.

How big is this fish?...I see you have 135 gallons...it could be MIA for awhile..it will find food...not knowing your aquascape makes this a difficult "guess" at best...but I've had many mysteries solve themselves ..eventually. : )
    Good luck...hope he shows.

The fish in question is about maybe 2" long and pretty slender, I have quite a bit of rock in my DT around 130lbs with tons of hiding spaces and nooks in all the rock. I'm hoping its just hiding out but its driving me crazy not knowing for sure if its dead or alive somewhere. Also feel bad for the male, he seems pretty lonely and hides out most of the day too.
