I have a female lyretail anthias in my 75gal. She is with 2 dwarf angels, kole tang, 2 clowns, 3 dragonets.

She is honestly one of my favorite fish. One of the prettiest 2. I plan 2 add 2 more females and then a male. Cant wait to have a school.

ide say go for it. I feed my fish every other day, with the exception of my dragonets they get fed every day. All my fish are fine.

After just reading up on these, I'd rec the wrasse, more movement and less potential problems getting them acclimated. The melanarus is really an awesome looking fish up close though. I still may do Anthias some day, but like you said, the melanarus does have its advantages with hitchhikers too, although, it may nibble on some good guys too.

I'd get some more tank time under your belt, get a wrasse now, and if your tank seems happy in a few months get the lyretail, or another wrasse;)

Thats a good idea, i like that thought! The 66 has been set up for 3 months so far, so its still a new tank. I think we could handel an anthias if we tried... Our betta is doing well and i think they are kinda sensative! Either way, i agree with you... Get the wrasse first and maybe get an anthias in a few months...

We want to get our next fish (wrasse) in a month or more when school starts (take away some of the depression... Lol). By this time we will have our chiller...we might get one this week

Everyone says anthias are hard to keep fish? I got one and haven't had any problems. Looks very healthy. Don't do anything special for it. HMM
