I have a male and female lyretail. Both eat flakes.

They can be finiky(sp) feeders, I have never had any luck with anthias. Try live brine or blood worms to start off. Luna

they are both eating perfectly fine. A mix of frozen brine and mysis - however im off on a long holiday and need to rely on an auto feeder. They are the only ones so far in the tank not taking to the dry foods.

    Not even flakes :(

I am starving them tho to see if it brings them round.

Well I'd start to wean them onto flakes when you get back to avoid that problem. Anytime people leave home and leave their tanks to be fed by friends and family well you've heard the horror stories .

That's a good plan of action. I assume you're not trying to feed them spirulina algae flakes? If you are, try switching to "meat" based flakes or freeze dried Cyclopeeze :)
