I am a huge reader...anything and everything I can put my hands on....if I am reading for fun, I really like Dan Brown (just finished the new book). Of course the Harry Potter books and as much as I hate to admit it, even the Twilight series.

Most of what I read is history (I am a history major - hopefully soon a history teacher). I am currently reading a new theory on how the Great Pyramid was built. Also The Forgotten Man, a history of the Great Depression and 1776 by David McCullough.

Pick up "Wicked-The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Macguire. I'm reading it for a second time. It's a really great book.

It's a fantastic story. And if I'm not mistaken, there's a play on Broadway based on it?

I just started reading Shooter for the second time :D I was flipping out when you posted that. It made me happy :) I really like that book.

Anyways, I'm a big scifi/fiction or military book guy. Or both. I don't have alot of time for reading, but if I ever want to I have my go-to books on my shelf. The original Halo books (yes there's a whole story to Halo that isn't in the games, w00t), Shooter, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, The Oath by Frank Peretti, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, The "my side of the mountain" series, and of course the Harry Potter series. The number of times I've read the whole HP series is in the double digits. Because I've read them so much, the first 4 books are kind of a chore to read (maybe not the 3rd), but the last two are my favorites. The 6th is good, but the 7th is my absolute favorite. It gets me on my toes every time I read it :D

And for the record I do NOT like the directors style for the 5th and 6th HP movies. He butchered the books, and twisted the "effects" a bit. Me no like.

Other books are good too, just not on my go to list. I'll read anything Steinbeck, except Grapes of Wrath. I couldn't make it through the first few chapters it was so dull to me. Yes, I judge books by their covers. And their titles. AND by the little summary in the back. :) I'm a teenager, what did you expect? :p Another book I'll add to my list is "A Sniper's Journey" but I forgot the author. It's an autobiography of a guy's Vietnam experience as a "disposable" unofficial sniper. Very interesting stuff in what was going on there.

You may like this book Jwin...... Once a Marine
    Gunnery Sergeant Nick Popaditch
You may not though..........The majority of the book is about his return/recovery. It is still good though I thought. Atleast poke around the web and see vids/get a brief story on what happened to this guy.

Annick, My book shows up Tues. next week;D.....
